Another CARS scientific expertise: Possibility and ways of eliminating abusive clauses from legal transactions
On 6 July 2015, another - available to the public - Scientific Expertise CARS was published. This time, the analysis covers the possibility and methods of eliminating contractual provisions from the legal system, considered abusive by the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection.

International Conference on Harmonisation of Private Antitrust Enforcement: A Central and European Perspective, organized by the University of Bialystok Faculty of Faw (Departament of Public Commercial Law) and CARS took place on 2-4 July 2015 in Supraśl. According ot its great success the decision has been taken that the next such conference will be organized in the framework of the academic network CRANE in Spring 2017 at Vilnius University (Lithuania).
International Conference of CARS and Law Faculty of the University of Białystok in 2015
We invite all interested scholars and practitioners to the International Conference of CARS and Law Faculty of the University of Białystok on "Harmonisation of Private Antitrust Enforcement: A Central and Eastern European Perspective" focused in particular on the Directive 2014/104/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 November 2014 on certain rules governing actions for damages under national law for infringements of the competition law provisions of the Member States and of the European Union. The Conference will be held in Hotel “Pięć Dębów” (“Five Oak Trees”) in Supraśl (Street Rymarka 7) on 2-4 July 2015.

Access: individually - by car or by bus no. 708 from the Młociny metro station.
Routes: two to choose from, one shorter, easier (approx. 15 km); the second is longer (approx. 25-30 km). we will go along bicycle routes (dirt roads) towards Roztoka.
Welcome: maps of Kampinos at hand and bicycle helmets on their heads;
Further program: rally we will finish around 3pm at the departure point (in Truskav) with lunch at the Dziupla Restaurant.

The President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Bronisław Komorowski, awarded prof. Anna Fornalczyk, the first President of the Antimonopoly Office, and with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, prof. Tadeusz Skocznego, director of the Center for Antimonopoly and Regulatory Studies of the University of Warsaw and the Chairman of the Advisory Board at the President of UOKiK.
The decorations were presented during the ceremony at the Royal Castle, which took place as part of the celebration of the Constitution Day on May 3.
Another scientific opinion of CARS: The concept of subsidiaries and capital group in the light of the Act on competition and consumer protection, taking into account the content of art. 99 sec. 3 of the Act of September 6, 2001, Pharmaceutical Law (2015).
On February 4, 2015, another - available to the public - Scientific Expertise CARS was published. This time, the notions of "subsidiaries" and "capital group" were subjected to antitrust analysis.

CARS conference on January 19, 2015
On January 19, 2015, the 1st CARS conference was held, devoted to the changes to the Act on competition and consumer protection, which entered into force on 18.021.2015, and the most important directions for its further modernization. The conference was held at the UOKiK Conference Center in Warsaw. It was attended by over 130 people from various interested backgrounds. Conference materials will be published in iKAR No. 2/2015.
